Cinnamon & Spice...

... and everything nice,
that's what little girls are made of.

Except now my little one is becoming a bigger girl.  And it's all happening way too fast for this Momma's liking...

Dear Sissy,

How quickly you have grown!   It seems as if only yesterday I was holding you for the first time and marveling at the miracle you are.  What a blessing and a gift to be your parents!

You fill our home with a lovely generosity, a selfless heart, and a good giggle from time to time.

I love how your personality has blossomed over the last year.  Less shy, more outgoing.  Definitely sillier!

I love how you think of others before thinking of yourself.

I love how you ask if there is anything you can help me with.  Then quickly follow it up with, "Is that a payable chore?"

I love how you are so quick to make something (a card, a small gift) for those you love.  And even for those you've just met.

I love how you have grown in courage.  You are determined when you set your mind to it!

I love how you are sold-out for Jesus, and live and walk in His truths as easily as you breathe.

I love how quick you are to hug and to be hugged.  You have a very loving heart and that is beautiful.

I love how you already know that your true beauty comes from what is in your heart and soul, and not what is easily seen on the outside.

I love being your Momma, and look forward to growing with you as sisters in Christ.

Today, we thank God for you.  We pray that we, as parents, may be granted the wisdom, gentleness, and patience to train you up in His ways.  We pray that our legacy to you would be a life of grace, mercy, and love.  Abundant, overflowing love.  We pray that your heart and ears will always remain open to God's direction and that you may follow His lead with courage, passion, and zeal.

Happy 8th Birthday, Punkie.  We love you!!
