Garden Update

Our garden has grown, and grown, and grown -- we attribute it to our neighbor's green thumb (I'm constantly calling and asking what to do next), and the TONS of rain we've been receiving.

We harvested a few green beans last weekend -- (the kids both tried them, but still declared them, "YUK!" -- they didn't want to wait until I cooked them, but wanted to eat them right out of the garden...) You can see from the pictures that we're expecting a bumper crop of tomatoes, and our zucchini and yellow squash are flowering. On a sad note, apparently our radishes have boycotted growing any edible portions. Their leaves have grown quite large, however there is just a red area on the stem where the radish should have grown... I've been told that it's just too hot for them... Oh, well...

  1. Wow! What a harvest indeed! We've got watermelons and squash still plumping on the vine...but our tomatoes are sad, sad little plants!

I've never been tempted to try green beans off the vine...hopefully they were "YUM" after being cooked! :)
